Now this is how you answer being hit by a pitch.

On Friday, the Central Michigan Chippewas were taking on the Miami Hurricanes in the Starkville Regional opening round of play, when an errant pitch almost changed everything in the game.

In the fifth inning, a player on Central Michigan would get blasted by a pitch and immediately drop down to the ground in obvious pain.

Just a few seconds would pass by before he suddenly got to his feet and ran to first base in a move that set his teammates into a frenzy.

What was a painful moment turned into an inspiring one in just a matter of seconds. This is why we play the game!
