Whoa, who saw this coming?

On Wednesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news that the Baltimore Ravens had a deal in place to part ways with Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco to send him to the Denver Broncos.

Joe Flacco got injured during the 2018 season and ultimately lost his starting job after rookie QB Lamar Jackson emerged and got the team an AFC North title and a playoff home game.

Joe Flacco‘s current contract:

2019: $18.5M base salary and cap hit

2020: $20.25M base salary and cap hit

2021: $24.25M base salary and cap hit

None of it is guaranteed, while Baltimore will take a $16M dead cap hit from the trade.
